The Exposition Corridor Transit Neighborhood Plan (ECTNP) is a package of new and reassigned zones applied to a mile-wide strip of West Los Angeles, along the route of the Expo Line. The Plan is now finalized after five years of outreach and study by the City Planning Department. WSSM was involved in the process every step of the way, attending hearings and workshops and closely monitoring zoning proposals as they evolved.
We worked with the Westside Neighborhood Council and our Council District office to develop a compromise “Neighborhood Mixed-Use” zone for Pico Boulevard, in place of the much more impactful RAS4 zoning proposed by the City Planning Commission. Our efforts were bolstered by hundreds of emails from the WSSM community opposing RAS4 zoning for Pico, which helped persuade City Council to vote unanimously in favor of the compromise zone.
The ECTNP goes into effect on September 11, 2018.
