The site of the former “Norm’s” restaurant, at 11001 Pico Boulevard has been acquired by NMS Properties, a real estate development and management firm based in Santa Monica. NMS proposes to build a 6-story, 89-unit apartment building in this location, taking advantage of additional density and height allowances made possible by the City’s “Transit Oriented Communities” ordinance.
WSSM is monitoring this project closely and working with NMS Properties’ representative Afriat Consulting Group to explore options for mitigating the many impacts of the development on the neighboring homes on Camden and Greenfield Avenues.
The NMS acquisition also includes two large R1-zoned lots on Camden Avenue; WSSM understands that these lots are to be developed as new single-family homes.
